At TLE Christian Academy LEARNING is our main focus. Although that means high standards for teachers, parent involvement, student commitment etc. let's face it students are children or at the most young adults. We can not expect them to behave exemplary every minute of the day, every day of the school year. However, we cannot allow behavior that distracts other students from their learning experience. Where to draw the line is sometimes a very difficult question, but we have to rely on each teacher's integrity and good judgment, while balancing between open constructive discussion and too much talking/distractions.
Below you will find examples of behavior. It is in no way conclusive, it is reviewed regularly by our board, staff, parents and of course students. We know that the right supportive environment can make a world of difference.
Behavioral Index
A behavioral index is kept on each student and reviewed with student during biweekly meetings with the Rector. The goal is to develop the student's self-government to the point that they do not require supervision in order behave appropriately.
Classroom Management
A four point thermometer is utilized in each classroom; this form only requires a visual clue and thus does not interrupt student work.
