We are excited to offer a very exciting Studio Arts Program designed and taught by Gayleen Brainard in her beautiful Cloud Park Studio. For a more detailed description of the program and a bio of Gayleen, please look under Academics and About Us.
Duration: Every Friday for One Full School Year - 18 weeks
Age: 12-16 year olds
Credit: This course will give 2 high school credits in Fine Arts
Exhibition: Student works will be displayed in two official exhibits.
Price: $150 per month for non TLE Students and $100/months for TLE Students
SCHEDULE
9:00 - Prayer and devotions
9:20 - Subject & Medium Mastery
This time will include some or all of the following:
- Teacher instruction & demonstration of skills to be mastered by students
- Teacher / student guided practice
- “Connections” will include Art History, Science, Literature, Music, Math etc…when appropriate.
10:20 - Break time
Students take time to have a healthy snack and drink.
10:40 – Studio Time
Students will work on their projects with guidance from teacher.
12:00 – Lunch
12:45 – Meet at the “Round Table”
This will be a time of processing and discussing books and videos that we either watch during this time or assigned passages from books that students have read for homework.
This “after lunch” time is designed to be deepening, inspiring, enriching and thought provoking.- Digesting lunch and new thoughts together.
1:45 - Resume Studio Time
3:00 - Clean Up and Wrap Up the Day
3:15-3:30 - Pick Up Students
