mr John's welcome

mr. John's Welcome

Thank you for your interest in TLE Christian Academy.  On the various pages we have put together information that we hope will answer most of your questions about the school and also I hope give you a flavor for what it is like to be a student here.  On this page I want to share with you about my background and values.

My background:  Grew up in Sweden and immigrated to the United States in 1985.  Apart from the last seven years I was in business, recently as a partner for a market research company where my special interest was in coaching company executives to be more customer oriented - establishing the relationship between employee environment - customer experience - financial results.  I am happy to say that Sears, McDonald's and AAFES were some of the companies in the US who adopted the philosophy.  I know I have confess, I am a mertic kind of guy and you will see the first metrics - the behavior index - implemented 2009-2010.

Although my high school experience was not the very best I have always been studying while working.  IN the US it resulted in a BA in Business Management and an ABD (anything but writing the final PhD dissertation write up) at University of Michigan, the Department of Urban and Regional Planning.  My research topic was Sense of Community in Small Towns.

When I met Ellen she brought me back to my "root believes" - I got saved again and my life took a turn to be the most awesome life I could ever wish:  a strong commitment to do what our Creator wants us to do and to work on being as righteous as possible (although I have come a long way I still have a long way to go), working together with Ellen (average of 60+ hours per week  at TLE).  In retrospect I find it fascinating that what I am doing today, especially moving TLE to Kennesaw, in one stroke combines all my passion and previous experience from the past.

My purpose:  to launch youth into an abundant life with hope.

My role:  to dedicate all my energy to each student at TLE

My success:  each student's success.

My commitment  to always review what we are doing to find how we can improve

Time with God, the bible and in worship.  This is I believe the only way to get perspectives and receive internal peace.  We have found that the days when we begin the school day with a short prayer/bible verse and with an involved worship time, we are in for a good day.  I need that time.

Value Integrity - I truly believe every student is awesome and that my role is to help them see it to reach their fullest potential.  For that to happen I have to be totally transparent to the students - constantly be truthful, respectful, humble, treating everyone equally to and to their desires to the best of my ability.  But this also means I have little patience for playing games, bullying, etc.

Spiritual and Mental health.  It is no question that being surrounded by 24 students all the time, eight hours a day, will ultimately create situations where I get upset/discouraged - say emotional.  My commitment is to use any such moment to pray, study, meditate to understand why.  Over the years many many questions have been answered and it has made me a happier person.

Love for Learning -  This relates to my long life desire to learn more.  But it also means a commitment for me to learn to understand how the students lear, how they think and to learn how I can be a better teacher, coach

Communicate, Communicate, Communicate

In conclusion:

I am the most blessed person there is

Thank you'll
